    Until latest upgrade you could upload a screenshot or photo of text and the app performed ocr and translated. No More! Shame. It was a useful feature. Now gab only one bout with the camera directly.
  • Offline version is unreliable

    By f*kc-468175fhsbgu;&&£%^$?
    The offline version is practically unusable. I’ve downloaded the offline language packs and still no proper results. There are only wrong suggestions, or no suggestions at all.

    I have severe food allergies and I have been looking for an app that if i scan the label can give me the English version without having to pay extortionate amounts of money. This app (so far) has proven itself to be very effective. Thank you for this app. I hope you can keep improving and working as you have, till now. Thank you ☺️
  • Kinda creepy

    By Phoebechops2009
    I have owned this app for about a year and a half now, and I’ve been using it all the time every now and then. But today I found a really creepy thing. I copied and pasted the Beats 1 logo Unicode symbol exclusive to Apple devices and I translated to Japanese. When I made the lady speak in English, she made a sinister sound that sounds like ‘ffphh’. In Japanese, it says nothing. When I translate the symbol from Japanese, it freaking translates to ‘moth’ for no reason. I’m a bit worried I’ve ‘destroyed’ that lady’s voice or maybe she’s breaking/dying. If something’s hacked it, I don’t know what to do. But if you are curious and see what happens, download it and copy and paste it from Emojipedia, an emoji website I found it on. It looks like this:  Search ‘Beats 1’ on emojipedia, copy and paste it from the article and see for proof. I’m not lying, but I just hope no one spreads this as a rumour like the talking tom thing. Kind Regards, PhoebeChops2009 (AKA: Sunny Cat) Xoxo

    Google, you have just transformed my life. This is the most clever innovation yet! Just translated the local Spanish curry house menu live with my phone camera and this app. It’s like magic! Very well done indeed
