1. It allows you to extend your battery life and lets you save from paying expensive roaming charges when traveling. Why TRUE offline maps? ✓(Full Version) unlimited city downloads (you can download ANY city in the world and more: you can download part of a city, or even country side).
2. You don't need to buy additional packages to get POI, everything is there when you download it. ✓offline search: search for street names and places (house numbers coming soon). ✓(Full Version) collaborative mapping: You can add new places of interests and share them with the world!
3. It doesn't preload routes, but calculates them without the need to be connected to the internet. ✓offline places of interest (POI) for any part of the world.
4. Though I will be adding the option to append new maps to existing maps in order to have much larger areas! ✓offline routing for any place you download.
5. Note: the map is taken from which is the wikipedia of map and if you find any errors in it, you can fix it going to the openstreetmap webpage!
6. The current zoom available is enough for cities, not entire countries...
