The idea was submitted by Andy Schupbach, originally an auto worker in Detroit but now an airline mechanic in Chicago. Andy’s father is hard of hearing and he thought that it would be a great idea to turn an iPhone into a hearing aid to help out his dad. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• HOW IT WORKS The app simply picks up the noises audible to the iPhone’s very sensitive microphone and relays them at a higher volume through the headphones.
