Only two measurements are required, in inches or centimetres, the length and girth of your salmon. If it is not possible to measure the girth the app will approximate it for you based on an average salmon girth. Measure your fish while it is still in the water using a soft or flexible tape measure, release it, and then use the SalmonSizer app calculators to estimate the weight. We have looked at all of the available data for calculating the weight of a salmon from the length and girth measurements and based our calculators on a mean estimate of that data..
