Google Assistant Description

Meet your Google Assistant. Ask it questions and tell it to do things. It’s always ready to help you get things done. Whether you need a reminder to pick up some milk, help finding your travel photos or need to make a dinner reservation, your Assistant is ready to help. To get started, press the mic icon or start typing. Some things that your Assistant can help with: - Make quick phone calls (e.g. "Call Mum.") - Send text messages (e.g. "Text Claire.") - Email your boss (e.g. "- Send emails (e.g. "Email the latest sales report to my boss") - Set reminders (e.g. "Remind me to buy a birthday gift for Sarah.") - Set calendar events (e.g. "Set a calendar event for dinner with Charlie tomorrow from 7-9 p.m.") - Play music (e.g. "Play jazz music on YouTube.") - Navigate places (e.g. "Get me directions home.") - Ask it anything (e.g. "What time is my flight?") *Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

All that’s missing is Apple Music support. Come on...
  • Radio Alarm

    By cmslta
Why does it stop playing the radio after 10 minutes, should surely play until you instruct it to stop ?
  • Brilliant - Works perfectly with Google Home

    By HuhWoot
Gets better and smarter all the time. My only suggestion would be better integration with third party services. Most people use MS Exchange calendars for work, and not being able to connect makes the Google Assistant day’s schedule not useful at all. This is one area where Alexa excels, because Amazon doesn’t host its own email calendars, it has much better integration with third party services, where both Siri and Google fall short. Google can tell me how long it will take to get to work, but cannot read my work exchange calendar.
  • Is it useless ????

    By scottamdaddy
I downloaded this in preparation as I’m due to get a free google home from BT with there broadband package but in the process of setting the app up and linking it with Siri the app picks up when you say “okay google” but other than that it doesn’t pick up anything you say except maybe one or two things in a blue moon. As for it working with google home and the app I can’t comment but will update my review when I have and had time to test it
  • Searching the web too much

    By do noot
It’s a great app but can you make google assistant search the web more less and actually have explanations for herself? Thank you
  • Much Easier and better than Alexa.

    By Kristian Jose
Much Easier and better than Alexa. You don’t have to load skills everything is built in. So you don’t have to remember every silly command.
  • Reminder notifications don’t work.

    By Sandman Sleeps
Reminder notifications don’t appear to work. When I ask google to remind me something it confirms it and adds to google calendar as a reminder. Yet the reminder never comes. If I add a reminder to google calendar manually it works fine. All notification settings etc are on. Seems to be a problem only when setting a reminder from the assistant app. Hopefully this can be fixed as this was one of the main reasons I wanted to use it. Edit the problem extends to google calendar. Book an appointment through google assistant and no notification from the calendar app on iPhone despite the appointment saying one is set and all notifications on. Again book manually in the calendar app and it works fine.
  • Poor audio quality

    By Andrew-263739
The voice of the assistant sounds distorted as if it has a low bit rate.
