Reviews

  • Unfair refund terms

    By Lexco22zz
I feel the app has unfair refund terms In that a punitive charge is applied for admin of refunds. When I click refund I am in effect doing the admin as it’s all fully automated. Just been stung 75% of the ticket costa to amend a booking made in error just seconds after placing the order.
  • RIP off

    By Pc sop user
Booked train in wrong direction- recognised immediately and requested refund. £10 admin charge - ridiculous - at least dick Turpin wore a mask. App needs to be improved by displaying full trip details before confirmation.
  • Used for arrivals and live train times

    By whirlyview
Would be great if app updated live train journey info without having to go backwards and forwards to refresh the page.
  • Literally the slowest app on my phone

    By Yeahitsprettygoodhuman
It is a good app over all for planning journeys and buying tickets on the move etc. But, it usually takes 20 seconds to unfreeze it self when the app is launched. and that’s if it doesn’t crash before opening which 8/10 times it does. UPDATE PLEASE.
  • Stuck in Swedish

    By petenormal
My app is stuck in Swedish for no apparent reason? It’s not clear how to change it back? Luckily my wife is Swedish.
  • When it works it’s brilliant. Payment failed half the time

    By btjones2
It’s a great app when it works but about 50% of the time I get payment failed notifications and nothing I do will change it. No indication as to why it failed, and the only thing that fixes it is uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Not particularly useful when you use the app to save time
  • Constantly freezing and crashing

    By Nnneed23147
Recent updates have made this app a nightmare- constantly freezing- after having activated a ticket. Missed trains twice because it wouldn’t open. Only managed to board and travel because gate staff had seen the issue constantly. Do not trust this app anymore. Do not dare buy e tickets. What a complete joke!
  • App no longer works

    By Caral Ou
Have always used the Trainline app for my regular travels, however I almost was unable to get my last train as the app froze up on me. Since then I open the app, it freezes and boots me out. I am even unable to get to the app support!
  • Good app but watch support is lacking m

    By stefan_apple_reviews
The app is good in general, would like to be able to access tickets on my watch.
  • Ripped off

    By JulesOnline
I paid £12 for a return Victoria-Waddon ticket online. When I got to Victoria and entered the code to get my tickets the machine told me that my credit card was not linked to the booking. I tried three times from two different machines. I then bought the same ticket from the machine using exactly the same credit card - which worked! I’m now on the train and have requested a refund, but will apparently only get £4.50 of my £12 back - so my return ticket has now cost me £19.50. I think it’s fair to say that I have been ripped off.
