1. To see the full description for a Grade II site, you can go from the app to the Historic England page for that site. You can enter. a location (town or country) and the map will move to that location showing sites in the area.
2. Locate every site on the Historic England list of historic sites in England!
3. Historic Sites: England presents the standard Apple Map, with sites in the Historic England list marked on the map at their location.
4. That means that no matter where you travel in the country you are almost certainly near one or more sites on the Historic England list.
5. The Historic England list contains over 379,000 (! ) entries, each a site that has been designated as having historic value.
6. "While You're Moving" mode: As you drive or walk, the map will show your current location and any Historic Sites in the area.
7. From that information view, you go directly to the Historic England page for the selected site.
8. "Search and Locate" mode: Search for Historic sites by state, by city or by name, or any combination of those three.
9. For any locale you choose or for the area around your current location, you can see what Historic sites are nearby.
10. For each site you can see the Historic England description of the site.
11. In both modes you can see where sites are located on the map, and then see more detailed information about the site by tapping the site's callout balloon.
